First of all, I have to thank you guys out there that have helped support my re-emergence into the blog world (thanks to Naija To the Core for the mention). I lost steam back some years (ok 4 yrs) ago and now I am back and intend to become the number 1 Naija music blog here bringing you updates and “late-dates” (for those who prefer their late passes) on all types of music. Please keep spreading the word. Moving on, got a few things up my sleeve today. The folks over at Whatever’s Good have a crazy countdown on the best tracks that Lil Wayne has done since he released the Carter II. The countdown is going to continue till he releases Carter III on June 10th [insert a weezy “Cash Money” drawl here]. If you are up on your game, you would recognize that that is a huge task seeing as Weezy literally went retarded and did a number on any innocent track that got sent to his camp (its no coincidence that we all mostly listen to only Weezy’s part on any Khaled song and that includes the new one “Out Here Grindin”). One of my fave of Wayne’s lyrical homicide is still the “Show me what you got freestyle”. Sorry Jay but Weezy did a better number on that track than you did. So here is the first set of the countdown. BTW you probably realized Vibe tried this but did not hit it on the head. You know officials don’t do things well like bloggers do it.
